Giving this blog thing another shot...
Just picked up this lovely little light for only $1.99 @ the thrift shop yesterday.
It's pretty perfect for my "reading" corner that still doesn't exist... (Hopefully soon). We live in one of those stupid houses that is severely lacking in ceiling lights, so I've been adapting floor lights into swag-style lights to hang in a few of the rooms. This light will be even easier becase it was manufactured as a hanging light. I'll just need to replace the old electrical cable with one coated in silver plastic to match the metallic sliver color that I'll be spray-painting the metal bits.
Deconstruction was pretty simple, and everything is sitting nicely in a box waiting for daylight to get their first coat of paint,
I'm aiming for this little mini-project to be finished this weekend , after we get a chance to visit homedepot; if funds allow I may even get bookshelves for the corner too!
